Our Practice
Grounded Healing is the result of continued experiences with, and observations of, psychological systems that do not work for most people. Our practice aims to challenge both those experiences, and the way our work affects us and our workplace. We believe shifting the way therapists experience their workplace allows us to intentionally engage with the community we serve. Through that community engagement and upholding social justice values, we can thoughtfully connect with those around us in and out of session.
Continuing to develop as an anti-racist and anti-oppressive group is a founding principle of this practice. As individuals, we focus on reflection and growth from experiences and observations of racism and oppression. As therapists, we maintain an active dialogue surrounding these issues by thoughtfully engaging in both relationships with one another, and therapeutic relationships through a trauma-informed lens. Additionally, building relationships with organizations that share these values is a priority.
